Songs From Here brings Maine audiences a musical recital of new pieces by Maine’s best composers and poetry readings from local poets. Join soprano Sarah Tuttle, pianist Bridget Convey, and local poets for a program inspired by the woods and waters of Maine. You’ll hear new pieces by returning composer Erica Ball and a new set of songs by Downeast composer John Newell inspired by some of Maine’s many creatures. You can also look forward to pieces by Schubert, Dvorak, Florence Price, and others.
